Unfortuately Robert's new life wasn’t as idyllic as he made it out to be, and his untimely death is marked by mystery and controversy. I grew up not too far from the coast at Fort Fisher. We used to go to Carolina Beach and Kure Beach for fishing trips and vacation all the time.

Growing up, I always heard about the Hermit but I never really understood him until I watched this fabulous documentary on him. I actually got choked up a couple of times. It is THAT good. I would recommend to people from the coast of Carolina to the Castles in Germany.

Now, after watching this, when I go to Fort Fisher to ride the ferry, I always have to take a moment of silence for the Hermit. What an awesome guy!
